Descripción del proyecto:
Vlahi Nature School is a small educational project based on permaculture principles. It is located in a remote village at the foot of Pirin mountain (UNESCO World Heritage) where only few people live permanently.
10 volunteers will participate in developing further the Nature School devoting efforts in restoration of winter garden, constructed on the principles of passive building. It serves for preserving plants in the winter as well as a chicken house. Last summer due to fire in the village the winter garden was destroyed. The volunteers will help in construction of garden fence, also damaged by the fire.
The EVS will learn about overexploitation of water resources, conflicts that arise from that and will participate in small but important activities for changing the status quo (monitoring of water levels, the forest condition, illegal activities and fish stoking).
